With health care costs on the rise, continual improvements to the health care reform laws must occur to lower costs and make healthcare more affordable. Everyone deserves access to affordable health care. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, was signed into law because it fundamentally will reform our current health care system. More than 47 million Americans go without insurance every year. This lack of insurance coverage contributes to the death of Americans and raises insurance costs because the uninsured are treated in hospitals and emergency rooms that pass along the costs. Health care costs will decrease because of the reform laws in place. We must continue to improve upon these laws and protect the rights and protections health care reform provides. As your representative in Congress, I will work to help improve upon reforms that ensure that health care will become more accessible for everyone.
